MEMORIES OF NASHVILLE
“Libby and Ray Wrinkler (veteran hit writer ‘Welcome To
My World’ Jim Reeves) were the
warmest of hosts. Visiting
Tootsies, laughing, story-telling
and singing together was such a
great experience.
They took my Country pal
Lorna Flowers and me to meet
Mary Reeves, wife of the late
and oh so great Jim Reeves.
She showed us her
treasured memories.
During our stay, we wrote a
song which moved so fast,
we could hardly catch our
breath. It was called ‘911’
and it was such fun writing it. Who knew that
the title would come to mean something so different.
Lorna and I visited Nashville many times, singing at the
legendary Blue Bird Cafe, sharing the stage with
Nashville greats like Bobby Wood and Ralph Murphy.”
IN GREAT COMPANY
We’re so privileged to have written with some amazing
artists. Bob Welch (ex Fleetwood Mac), Hall of Fame
writer Roger Cook, Grammy Award Winner John
Peppard, JIm Femino, Joie Scott, Dwight Lies, Michael
Puryear and so many others.
Touring with George Hamilton V, Charley Pride,
Raymond Froggatt and sharing top bill with John
Randall. It’s been an amazing journey.
Yet my proudest moments have been spent with the
cancer patients and staff who inspired this latest project.
My heart goes out to them all and I hope that Shine
does just a little to help them.
With love from Sue xx
